No Editing Required. Words are gathered from supplied books. You don’t need to set language or decide on spelling. The spelling of “Color” or “Colour” for example is determined by the books you add.

Styles – Creating, Using. Text copies of books are used to create Styles. A style is list of unique words that are found in the books and also in the Dictionary. Different books can be used to create styles that could be Romantic, Old World, Horror etc... The complete works of an author could be used to create a style, such as Dickens, Poe, Austen etc... A number of styles are supplied and more can be downloaded or created your own.

Select Grid Pattern.There are 3 basic grid patterns to choose from. Some books might not have a large selection of words. Just choose a simpler grid to create a crossword.

Quotes. Quotes are stored in the Style (see above) to help identify a word. Quotes that contain the target word are taken from the supplied books. The user is shown these quotes with the target word blanked out. If you really know the book contents, then try completing a crossword using only the supplied quotes.

Alternative Definitions. A definition from the dictionary is the clue for each word, but other definitions can be viewed to help out. The system doesn’t the context of words and many words have multiple definitions. Have a browse through the alternative definitions tab to get the idea.

Giving Up – Word. A “Give Up” button is supplied for each word. This word is then shown in Green. If you can’t finish the crossword, just give up on a few words, to see how far you can go.

Giving Up – Game. Once you have done as much as you can, click the “Finish” button to not only show all of the words that you haven’t completed, but also identify the words that weren’t correct. These are shown in Red.

Resetting a Game. A game can be reset at any time. This removes all of the answers, but keeps all of the clues and quotes.
